Standard Retreat 2015

We recently returned from our 3rd annual Standard Code retreat. It's a great excuse for us to get out of town, run around in the woods, drink good craft beer (or bourbon), and work on some projects. This year we descended onto Asheville, NC. A 3.5 hour drive from ATL, Asheville is perfect for us. We ziplined on the first day and did some lightweight hiking. Afterwards we went into downtown for drinks and food and accidentally crashed the filming of a reality show ("Southern Charm" anyone?).

Day two involved us doing a lot of cooking (homemade tortillas and brisket!) and coding. We worked on three core projects

• Dear Faye -- We're adding some really cool functionality to this project we've been working on. Soon you'll be able to create photo albums via text message. Great for the moms on-the-go
• Standard Practice -- Hey mid-level developers out there: frustrated that code academy and the like are geared for newbies? Standard Practice is a tool created by our dev team to help hone their craft. More to come soon!
• Config vars -- Another project geared at developers. How many rails devs out there hate keeping up with environment vars? This project will be the solution for you
